How does personalisation work?

Choose your board and any options, then type your engraving text in the personalisation box on the product page before adding it to your basket. Your text is engraved as entered, so please check spelling, capital letters and punctuation. See our Personalisation Guide for ideas.

I made a mistake in my engraving text. What should I do?

Email contact@maisonmade.shop with your order number and the correct text as soon as possible. We can change it if personalisation has not yet started.

How long will my order take?

Personalisation and dispatch take 2 to 4 working days, then UK delivery takes 2 to 4 working days. In total, most orders arrive within 4 to 8 working days. Orders placed after 2pm UK time, or at a weekend or on a bank holiday, are processed from the next working day. If you need it by a certain date, please email us before ordering.

How much is delivery?

Tracked UK delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to UK addresses only, and all orders are dispatched from the United Kingdom, so there are no customs charges.

Can I return a personalised item?

Yes. Personalised items are normally exempt from the 14-day cancellation right, but we voluntarily offer 30-day returns on every order, including if you change your mind, as long as the item is unused and in new condition. Email us within 30 days of delivery for the returns address. You pay return postage for change-of-mind returns; faulty, damaged or incorrect items are returned free with a full refund. Do you offer exchanges?

We do not offer direct exchanges. Please return the item for a refund and place a new order.

Will my board look exactly like the photos?

Each board is cut from natural wood, so the grain, colour and markings of yours will be unique and may differ slightly from the photographs.

How do I care for my board?

Hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry straight away. Oil occasionally with food-grade mineral oil or board oil. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher. See our Care Guide for more detail.

Is it a good gift?

Personalised boards are popular for weddings, anniversaries, housewarmings, birthdays and Christmas. If it is going straight to the recipient, simply enter their address at checkout.
